Darbar Festival Family Fun Day and Indian Explorer’s Passport

Discover the heritage of Indian arts and music

What to Expect at the Fun Day:

Free Children’s Explorer’s Passport Experience

Designed especially for children aged 5 and above, the Explorer’s Passport turns the day into a fun-filled adventure. As they explore different creative zones across the museum, children collect stickers, learn about Indian classical instruments, dance styles and traditions, and complete challenges along the way — finishing with a souvenir photo to commemorate their journey.

Free Traditional Dance Performance

Be captivated by the storytelling and rhythm of classical Indian dance as the Nupur Arts dancers bring Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Kuchipudi to life through expressive movement and intricate footwork.

Free Traditional Musical Performances

Enjoy free pop-up Indian classical music performances throughout the day, along with live instrument demonstrations from visiting maestros, a rare chance to experience these instruments in person, not just as illustrations in a book.

Free Interactive Workshops and Demonstrations (materials included)

Children and families can get hands-on with basic Indian classical music and dance techniques in engaging sessions led by performers from Darbar and Nupur Arts.

Photo Booth with Saree and Turban Tying

Play dress-up in the best way possible — strike a pose at the instant photo booth, then try on a saree or have a turban tied just for fun.

Henna and Face Painting

Slots for activities can be booked from the 'Book Now' Feature at the top of the page. Please note that there are limited spaces for the activities so advanced booking is advised.
