An update on the major refurbishment of Jewry Wall Museum

Jewry Wall Museum is due to reopen in 2025 after a major renovation with a new exhibition of objects and stories of Roman Leicester.

Heritage Interactive are developing the audio visual aspects of the exhibition which will include some digital games based on real Roman archaeological objects found in Leicester. Our Museum volunteers have been helping to test some those games and make them as easy, fun, educational and accessible as possible.

The Volunteering team with Leicester Museums & Galleries support projects across all our sites and were delighted to be given a chance to be involved in the development of the new Jewry Wall Museum. This opportunity was part of Volunteers Inspired and Inspiring Training Programme giving volunteers career development and volunteering enhancement opportunities
