A day for home-educating families to find out about Roman Leicester.
We offer activities suitable for children aged 7 to 11. Younger children will need support with some activities, and children of all ages are welcome. Activities link to the KS2 curriculum for History. Facilitated sessions take place at fixed times, for the rest of your day you are free to explore the exhibition and the self-led activities and take breaks whenever you need to.
We invite children with SEND needs to see the SEND Relaxed Programme itinerary, which has facilitated sessions in the afternoon.

Programme:
10am – 12noon Facilitated activities run by our Learning team:
- Roman artefact handling
- Baths site – guided tour
Lunch break – you are welcome to have lunch off site, and return in the afternoon, or to visit our Café. We also provide a lunchroom, if you’d prefer to bring your own packed lunch.
From 1pm – entry to the Exhibition:
The Exhibition begins with a short video in the Immersive Hall. Entry to this is every 15 mins, you are welcome to enter at any of the time slots between 1pm and 2pm.
